Leadership

Jonathan Copperstone

Founder of Bookie.

Jonathan is a product-focused software engineer with over a decade of experience building financial, advertising, healthcare, and enterprise platforms.

At Salesforce, he worked on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud social ads platform. He led development efforts across Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter ad-buying verticals, helped define the next-generation ads platform, and delivered production software for enterprise marketing teams.

He later co-founded Homelyfe, a London-based fintech startup, where he served as Head of Application Development and led web, iOS, and Android application development. After the Homelyfe brand was acquired by Gallagher, he continued as Head of Application Development as the underlying software was pivoted into Aventus Platform, a B2B insurance SaaS platform used across multiple insurance brands.

Through Toptal, Jonathan moved into self-employed consulting as a Software Developer and Systems Architect. That period gave him first-hand experience with the financial admin, tax, and bookkeeping friction that Bookie is built to remove.

Bookie brings that background into bookkeeping: enterprise-grade product and engineering experience, applied to a tool built for small businesses, freelancers, and the people who need their financial admin to finally feel manageable.
